The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an accident with injuries that occurred on Interstate 475, (northbound) near Thomaston Road, at around 4:00p.m. Tuesday afternoon. It was reported that a maroon Honda Civic, driven by Andre Johnson, age 31 from Macon, lost control of his vehicle as he attempted to change lanes.
Johnson’s vehicle collided with a silver Dodge Ram, driven by 24 year old Zachary Schwartz of Forsyth. After the vehicles collided, the Honda continued in motion and collided with a concrete retaining wall, before flipping over. The passenger of the Honda, 29 year old Corey Middleton of Macon, was also injured during this incident.
Johnson and Middleton were both transported to the hospital and are listed to be in stable condition. Schwartz was reported to have suffered minor injuries he was seen and released at the scene by EMS. No one else was injured during this incident.
