The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single vehicle traffic accident that occurred on I-75 southbound at the Eisenhower Parkway Exit ramp, just before 5:00 p.m. It was reported that the female driver lost control of the vehicle and went off the road into the woods. The vehicle then burst into flames. Several passerby’s helped get the driver and passenger out of the vehicle. The female was transported to the Navicent hospital and the male passenger was transported by helicopter to Grady hospital in Atlanta.
The interstate will be blocked off for the next 30 to 45 minutes. More information will be given when it becomes available.
