The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an accident, involving a pedestrian that occurred on Hartley Bridge Road, just east of Coley Lake Road. The accident occurred at around 6:50p.m., Saturday night.
It was reported that a Hyundai Sonata, driven by 41-year-old Steven Lawson of Macon was traveling west on Hartley Bridge Road. As Lawson entered a “low-lit” area of Hartley Bridge Road, he came across a male walking in the middle of his lane of travel. Lawson’s vehicle collided with the pedestrian in front of 3291 Hartley Bridge Road.
The pedestrian was later identified as 54-year-old, Ralph Dewayne Dorminy of Macon. Dorminy was transported to the hospital by ambulance and his listed to be in critical condition. Lawson and is wife, who was also in the vehicle, were not injured during the incident.
